Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Zurnl. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of zurnl.com and the reader Zurnl provides for e-newspapers and magazines. By using Zurnl, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the service.

Using Zurnl

Zurnl is a free online reader that lets you browse and read digital editions of newspapers and magazines. You may use Zurnl only for lawful purposes and in a way that doesn't restrict or inhibit anyone else's use of the service. The Terms apply to all visitors, regardless of whether you create an account.

Accounts

Zurnl currently does not require an account. Most of the service can be used anonymously. If we introduce accounts in the future, additional terms for accounts and sign-in may apply, and we'll update these Terms at that time.

Publications and content

Zurnl is a reader. It does not create, own, host, or control the content of the newspapers, magazines, articles, photographs or advertisements shown inside publications. The content displayed is provided by third-party edition sources and remains the property of the respective publishers and rights holders.

If you are a publisher or rights holder and you believe a publication should not be available through Zurnl, please email support@zurnl.com with details of the publication and we will act promptly to remove it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Violations may result in temporary or permanent restrictions on access without notice, where technically possible.

Disclaimer and accuracy

Zurnl is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the operation of the service or the information, publications, or content shown through it. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any particular publication, date or edition will always be available.

Zurnl is not the author of the publications shown. Any opinions, statements, or claims inside a publication are those of the publication itself, not Zurnl.

Service availability

We work to keep Zurnl available, but we don't guarantee continuous uptime. The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, infrastructure failures, or events outside our control. Some editions may take longer to generate on first request, and very occasionally an edition may not be available at all — for example, if the underlying source for a publication is unreachable.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Zurnl be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or business, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) Zurnl — whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory.

Because Zurnl is offered free of charge, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Publications and the reader library are delivered through third parties (such as Cloudflare and jsDelivr). Zurnl may also link to other websites. We're not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third parties. Any third-party links are provided for convenience, and your use of them is at your own risk.

Intellectual property

The Zurnl name, logo, domain, and the software running zurnl.com are owned by Zurnl and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The publications shown through Zurnl are the property of their respective publishers and rights holders, and nothing in these Terms gives you any rights in them.

You may not use the Zurnl name, logo, or trademarks without our prior written permission.

Governing law

These Terms are interpreted and enforced in accordance with applicable law, without giving effect to conflict-of-laws principles. Where mandatory consumer protection laws apply to you, those laws are not overridden by these Terms.

If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect.

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, post a notice. Your continued use of Zurnl after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't, please stop using the service.
